OMG Ubi! Tonight I was busy getting my act together to leave for a
week's vacation tomorrow (Outer Banks, NC) and I had Food TV on. The
Semi-Ho was on, but I didn't have time to pay much attention until the
end, when she was showing off a tiered platter of cupcakes, which
looked fine (although I'm sure they were some type of store bought crap
topped with some other store bought crap, but whatever). She proceeded
to show us a decorating tip that she learned from her friend. She
coated rose flower petals with egg white and sprinkled them with sugar.
THEN (after they had obviously dried to a brittle state) she mixed
them with chopped mint and held them high above the cupcake platter and
LET GO. I nearly fell off the couch with laughter....the rose petals
and mint fell on the cupcakes and continued to fall downwards and
sideways, all on the floor....there were like two petals that actually
made it on the cupcake platter. What a stupid idiot for not having
figured that out ahead of time...she looked like it was supposed to be
like that. I'm thinking the floor guy is hating her guts after having
to clean up that mess. It was good for a laugh, though!
