....but when I saw the price tag -- 39 cents *each* -- I stopped and
bought three Emeril-branded sweet eggplants. Big, beautiful, and sweet
as advertised. No salting needed -- cooked some slices in the oven and
put them on pizza, and they're delicious.

Not a big fan of the guy, but his brand of eggplants get a big thumbs
up Chez Serene.
