Default Normally, I would walk right by them...

I don't mind Emeril himself*, just the Jerry-Springer audience he has,
hooting like hillbillies for more beer in the batter or more garlic in the
sauce. His show "Essence of Emeril" doesn't have a live audience and is much
easier for me to watch.

His recipes are hit-or-miss with me; some turn out very well, others are
disgusting. (For an example of a disgusting one, try making his lobster
salad with vanilla mayonnaise. The mayo recipe is HORRIBLE; the infused oil
turns it into a carnival-fryer castoff.)

I've been to two of his New Orleans restaurants and one of his Las Vegas
restaurants. The meal I had at Delmonico in New Orleans will remain in my
memory as one of the best meals I've ever eaten, but the meal I had at his
Delmonico Steakhouse in Las Vegas made me sick. So it's hit-or-miss again.
