I never buy it but make it from scratch. Not only much cheaper than
those little packets (US about $1.00) but it uses spices I already have
so it keeps my supplies used/replaced/fresh.

Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon sugar

Combine all ingredients until well blended. This to equal 1 1.25 oz.

I add it to the browned beef, with about a 1/3 cup of water to help mix
it evenly into the meat (just like you when following package
instructions) and then allow the water to cook off.
