Sounds like my paternal grandfathter. You could take the man out of the
US Army, but you couldn't take the US Army out of the man. He was a
retired MSgt, served in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Even his cars were
bought in colors as close to army green as possible, and white walls
were always flipped INWARD.

My father did two stints as a squid. I think his only memories of it are
the ports of call in which he sired at least one illegitimate child that
he thinks nobody knows about. Oh well.

And me, no military service whatsoever. Had an appointment to USAF
Academy and decided the thought of Uncle Sam owing my ass for close to 8
years wasnt' worth it.
