I rent the basement of my parent's house. I have my own fridge,
freezer, microwave, etc. I also cook in the kitchen too. Sometimes
people assume that because I live in the same house, that I eat their
food all the time. I explain that I do occasionally eat their food if
they make something I like when I am home, and I haven't already eaten.
But I always plan as if there is nothing for me. I joke that they can
make anything they want, the worst thing in the world, except liver,
and there will never be a complaint from me. Liver is an exception
because it stinks up the house. Fortunately, my mom hasn't made that in
years.

Another thing I thought of it is microwaved ice cream. A few years
back, my dad decided it is easier to scoop if you put it in the
microwave. So, one day, as a dessert, he served pie and ice cream. We
were sitting in the living room, and discovered that the ice cream was
stringy. It was so nasty that I have to try hard to not gag when i
think about it. He still insists on doing it, and gets offended when
nobody accepts ice cream from him. He even marked the containers as not
microwaved, but he did it at least once to a marked box.

If you want to creep somebody out out in our house, just mention Dad's
ice cream.
