I read somewhere that the average person only really cooks eight
meals which are recycled all the time. I gave it some thought and
realised that this was probably a fairly accurate reflection on my
life. The eight meals differ according to where I live, what season
it is, and my life circumstances at the time, but it is about eight
major variations (two different types of pasta and sauce just count
as pasta and sauce, and fried red meat is fried red meat whether it
is a steak or a few chops) at any time.
