Atheists are not allowed or tolerated. The issue here, though, is gays.
Gays are not allowed in leadership roles. My daughter went to high
school with Steven Cozza, who is an Eagle Scout who founded:

Local groups, and regional offices, don't necessarily agree with this
discrimination, but the national office is very powerful.
