Default I hate kitchen boo-boos!

Mandoline meets me.... about a month ago. I am not a kitchen klutz that's
what made it all the more shocking. I have 3 friends with the same
mandoline and all have cut themselves and refused to ever use it again. I
was the only one brave enough. It was a dumb accident as all probably
are.... big hunk of onion that wouldn't fit in the slicing hat. Normally, I
would just use it for something else, but this time I thought "Oh I can get
one more slice." That's all she wrote. Sliced off the side of my thumb.
The amount of blood and pain made me think I had taken my thumb off. I
wouldn't look at it. DH was at the grocery store. He's an RN, so I waited
for him to come home. Keeping pressure on it. For 3 days he changed the
dressings on it and I wouldn't look at it. He said it was bad. When I
finally could go without a dressing I looked. Not so bad... my thumb has a
minor scar and it's not deformed at all. There was definitely nothing to
stitch back on. My daughter thought she saw my thumb piece go down the
drain when she cleaned the cutting board.
