I thank everyone for their kind wishes. It still hasn't sunken in yet. I
still haven't heard from Dad about the arrangements. If the funeral is Monday
Gordie can sing, if not, he'll be Up North. It would be nice if my husband
could sing that but I don't think he'd agree to it - his performing days are
over, lol.

It is so odd, no rain for a long time and the first big thunderstorm yesterday,
and then again, today.

Mom was one of those people who hated to cook and would put everything in the
pressure cooker. But, when she wanted to do something, she could do it well.
I don't think I'll be able to read her recipes as she wrote them in shorthand.
She made a cheesecake with almond flavoring, a nice poppy seed cake a mean
lasagne and spaghetti. Her hamburgers were pretty bad, little hockey pucks
full of filler.

Holy cow, the sirens are going off and I think we might have a tornado soon.
