To tell the truth, I often find myself defending chain restaurants on
the grounds that they sometimes have something I feel like eating. I've
been known to get Burger King milkshake on occasion (every few years),
and I said I'd gotten a good meal at Red Lobster when traveling.
There's a Ruby Tuesday's in my neighborhood that has a good fresh salad
bar and plain broiled fish with veg that I find quite edible when I'm by
myself and don't feel like cooking. I don't put down these places just
because they're chains. On the other hand, I don't exactly collect the
recipes and recreate them at home either-- because they're chains.
