Sure -- but that wouldn't justify Muslims, Jews, and Greek Orthodox
uniting to punish Western European Catholics (and those Protestants,
atheists, etc. with Catholic ancestry) for the excesses of the Crusades.

Or Native Americans killing off Americans of European ancestry.

Or Blacks dropping bombs on the Africans whose ancestors sold their
ancestors into slavery.
