About a year ago I moved to a new place myself (New Orleans) I've found that
feeding people is a good way to become a popular neighbor. It also gets me
invited just about anytime anyone has any sort of pot luck.

A couple of weeks ago I 'volunteered' to have Thanksgiving dinner at my
house.
