Agreed, but two things:

- For some foods, there is no choice but to wash IN the sink. Don't ask for
examples. You know what they are.
- If you're so sensitive to germs that this theoretical vapor is a problem,
you have other medical issues that need to be addressed.

Pour 2 cups of bleach down the drain if you're that paranoid.
