No it's not, at least not here in the US. Some terms, such as
"organic," are strictly regulated and you can be confident that you know
what you are getting. Other terms of course are unregulated and are
essentially meaningless. As a consumer you need to apply a modest amount
of intelligence and effort to educate yourself in these matters.
