Default Sick of being sick...ideas please?

Never thought about what a stomach bug would do when combined with
diabetes. Every recommendation I've ever heard is the brat diet, tea
and carbs. Is fasting out for diabetics? Sometimes, you have to
starve the darned virus for a day or so, sucking on ice cubes, or
sipping tea until things quiet down. What about electrolyte drinks?

If your doctor is anything like mine, they will schedule you for a day
or so past the usual lifetime of the illness, since there's really not
much they can do but offer sympathy and palliatives. Best advice is
to curl up in bed with a good book, and sleep as much as possible.
And keep a bucket with a lid by the bed, just in case....
