Default YOUR best way of making Poached Eggs

Forgive me if these methods have been suggested before but I
seem to remember Julia Child poaching eggs by stirring simmering
water into a vortex and then dropping a single egg from a spoon.
I also seem to remember her suggesting adding a table spoon or
two of vinegar to the water to quickly coagulate the outside.
You can't taste the vinegar and you can do 3-4 eggs at once in
water simmering in a frying pan.
