Years ago we had a side by side and over a period of time I grew to dislike
it. The freezer was too narrow. We also can only have a 36 inch. Now we have
a bottom freezer Amana. We got off to a rocky start, I even asked advice of
this newsgroup ( they were super helpful) but I can say without a doubt in
the world, I love this bottom freezer Amana. I wish the freezer part was
bigger but the most important for us was a ref. that was easy to use. Stuff
doesn't get lost in there. We have an ice maker and filtered water in the
top part.
