If you were my neighbor, Michael, I would bring over one of Henry Mitchell's
books on gardening. Might be "Essential Earthman" or "One Man's Garden".
Anyway, there's a chapter about gifts for gardeners. You'd love it. Bag of
manure, a roll of really good twine, stuff like that.

If you're one of the few remaining Americans with a library card, go find
his books. I think you'd really enjoy them. He was the garden writer for the
Washington Post. Each chapter is one of his newspaper columns, so they're
quick. But, the man was a friggin' genius.
