Default Lamb Shanks <coughgaspchoke>

My neighborhood grocery has a lot of Muslim customers. I noticed the
last couple weeks that they are selling NZ lamb for what I consider an
outrageous price. Not $18/lb for shanks, but close to $10/lb for
unspecified "NZ lamb." Domestic lamb has been around its usual price.
Lamb shanks have been around $3.49/lb. The recently had domestic leg
of lamb for $3.99/lb. I bought a 4-lb sirloin end piece. Look for lamb
heads, tongues, sweetbreads, etc., next week--I was told last night
that Catholic and Greek Easter fall on the same day this year (as, I
am also told, they do every four years).
