<ahem> That's generally referred to as Western (Christian) and Orthodox
Easter. Barry. <grin> Protestants and Catholics do the day on the
same schedule; the Orthodox date varies.


And whoever gave you the every four years thing is full of hrutka and
kolbasa. "-) There's no pattern that I can readily discern as far as
how frequently they coincide. It is not, however, every four years.
Sometimes it's 11. Sometimes 3. Sometimes 1. Sometimes other. What I
can tell you is that one of the factors that is part of calculating the
date for Orthodox Easter is that it *always* comes after the start of
Passover. Both Western and Orthodox also consider the spring equinox in
the calculation. The dates themselves can be anywhere from concurrent
to, I believe, 5 weeks apart.

I couldn't find any lamb shanks around here; I'm thinking I'll be
looking in a Halal market or one that caters to Middle Eastern
preferences and desirables.
