You've received lots of good advice, among the most important is that

daugther, while working in a hotel, discovered a coffe called Hotel
Blend (search for that name on the internet; the site where it's sold
has a different name that I don't recall).

It's the best I've had. We buy a couple of pounds a month over the
internet.
