The post on storing opened yeast reminded me that is is getting to the end
of the season for ordering yeast. It is suggested that you NOT order yeast
in the summer as it will likely be shipped in unairconditioned containers or
trucks and the summer heat in those containers can kill yeast. I would even
suggest that it is not best to buy yeast from your local winemakers stores
as they probably order thier yeast by mail and it could have the same
problem. I would suggest the best time to order is the winter and spring.
