Now that you mention it, the dimensions do seem
much too small for a chicken, or even a chicken
quarter. I think the egg theory makes more sense,
but for steamed rather than boiled eggs.

Though, I'm not sure there's an advantage
in steaming vs. boiling eggs. Less electricity?
Faster? Less chance of breakage?
