About asparagus-followup question
<snip>
Asparagus grows during the day and at night too... and many plants are
nocturnal, plants of the nightshade family; tomatoes, potatoes,
peppers, eggplant, etc. only grow at night... they store up energy
during daylight but don't actually grow until it's dark.
While not an asparagus lover, I recently saw in a supermarket, purple
asparagas. Is there a specific 'season' for them? Green seems to be nearly
all year long in the past couple of years, and white asparagus are out now.
