There were two buckets of KFC last night, and 3 or 4 "bought" cakes.
One nice thing was the number of dishes of plain cooked vegetables.
Everyone tries at some point or another to make a "killer" dish, and
you end up with all sauce and nothing to balance it. No Chinese take
out this month, and if the salads were from bagged greens, they had
enough character (one had almonds and dried cranberries, another was a
crispy garden salad, and a third may have been spinach,but was gone by
the time I got to it) to make them interesting.
