US olive oil can be excellent but it tends to be "botique" oil and
therefore expensive.
You can't judge an oil by its country of origin. The countries you list
all make some great oils but also some that are not so great. I've also
had wonderful olive oils from Morocco, Jordan, and Lebanon. CostCo's
oil, from Italy I believe, is a great deal.
