You have inspired me...
Back in the mid to late 80's I stayed at the Atlanta Hospital
Hospitality House
http://www.atlhhh.org/index.html
while watching over my father who was ill and in one of the area
hospitals.. The AHHH is like Ronald house except the patient doesn't
have to be a child.. you just have to be a certain distance from
home.. In the past, I had made cash donations to them.. but now...
I do make some pretty good cheesecakes.. I don't know if I'd be brave
enough to do something like a full meal. Even though I could do the
meal in advance like you did.. While being a guest at AHHH, there
were a few occasions that church groups would just bring in dinner and
it would be "serve yourself".. So I could do that by myself..
When your far from home.. with a loved one in the hospital.. these
type organizations can't be beat.. being around others who are in the
same situation as you are.. makes a LOT of difference..
