I don't write much banal pop. Mine is mostly stuff that has been
called pedagogical by people who know what the word means.

The Talking Heads did a lot more stuff, but it was all just more of
the same, or worse.
Kinda like Steely Dan. Their debut album, Can't Buy a Thrill, was,
IMO, brilliant. No need to bother with anything they did afterward.
Oh, there were a few good songs, but no album worth buying.
