Neither my mom or grandmother used one, but I was still afraid. I had
heard horror stories about food on the ceiling and walls. But my
husband got me one and I was hooked. Previously I had used the crock
pot for soup, but the pressure cooker is so much easier.
And with the newer ones they lock down and you really can't open them
until the pressure is fully released.
