Default When I was a kid

I know how you feel. I could not understand how my old man could
add black pepper to all sorts of things. I could not stand it then
but like it now. On the other hand, I used to like peaches when
we lived next to a peach orchard, but I really haven't tasted any
peaches that taste good to me since then. I used to like nuts,
but for some reason they turn me off these days.
I have grown to like asparagas, which I disliked as a kid. I have
not learned to like brussel sprouts or any of the other "stinky"
vegetables that are always supposed to be so good for me. Sigh.
I always liked mushrooms and carrots.
