Blinky,
Help me out if you can...
In Redondo Beach, there used to be our favorite 1980's Sunday brunch
restaurant. You'd turn onto Portofino Way and when you got to the end,
instead of turning right into the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club, you took a
left into the restaurant parking lot. The restaurant itself is on the
point. I see it on GoogleEarth but no thumbtack for it.
Maybe if the thumbtack is off, would it be the Breakwater Steak Jazz and
Seafood place? Or another name, and would you know if they still do up
Sunday brunch?
Fond memories of Eggs sardou champagne and watching the crabbers on the
rocks outside the windows below.
Thanks,
Andy
P.S. We used to stomp around Manhattan and Hermosa Beaches a lot! A bud had
an apartment just two blocks up the hill from the beach. We'd duck into a
bar on the Strand (and 12th?) and drink beer and play table shuffleboard.
