Baby shoes always remind me of one Sunday morning when we were at
Friends meeting for worship (Quakers)*, and there was a baby who was
making noise by kicking her little baby shoe on the pew. The mother
did the one least controlling thing she could do to rectify the
problem. She very gently slipped the baby's shoe off, and let it
continue to kick. Sweet person that woman.
