Surprising no one would notice someone retaping a box.
They seem to be checking how many cases of soda, how many
meat items, whatever. No tv in my cart. Just saying, they really do
seem to be checking how many items, not especially looking to see
if I snuck something into a different container, because I don't buy
stuff like that.

I had no problem when the cashier at Lowe's checked the inside of a
large toolbox I was buying. Talk about a made to order opportunity
to walk out with expensive stuff.

Just strikes me as strange at Costco, they paw through the cart
to see what you have, then 10 yards later they think something might
have changed, even though there is no merchandise there to steal.
