Strange Refrigerator Occurrences?

Quite so. Made that mistake - once. We had had a birthday party on the
Saturday and I had put a few cans in the freezer section of the
fridge/freezer (supposedly for half an hour) to cool down, as the fridge
was rather full - and promptly forgot about them. I didn't hear them
explode ...but on the Monday morning I found them - the mess was
unbelievable. Plus we ended up having to change the door seal. The soda
had somehow seeped between the door and the seal and it had turned into
a nice sticky mess which worked like some sort of super-glue. When I
tried to open the door, it was actually "stuck" (huh?) - so I yanked
hard - and tore a section of the rubber seal. It was highly
inconvenient. We now have an extra fridge - no more soda cans in the
freezer.
