I have gone off frozen veggies - altho' I do occasionally cook peas in the
MW. (The frozen veggies we get here in RSA are not very nice, IMHO). My MW
usually gets used for defrosting/heating up leftovers. I don't often use it
to defrost uncooked meat - I prefer to do that in the fridge overnight, or
sometimes even on the counter top if it's not gonna take too long.

Don't have a toaster oven... My MW is one of those combination
MW/Convection/Grill things - I think they call the "grill" part a "broiler"
in the USA? But even then I don't use it much for cooking. Also, it depends
on the time of year - in summer we grill our meat outdoors most weekends
too, and in winter I do make quite a lot of roasts/potroasts/casseroles in
the oven. But I do use my stovetop for making most of my veggies and quite
a lot of meats too.
