One has the genetic component which they have no control over, but then
families often tend to share the same eating patterns and fitness
patterns which they do have more control over.
Sadly we're seeing huge increases in type 2 diabetes even in CHILDREN!
That was unheard of in generations past.
Between the rise in diabetes, and the poor calcium intake of young kids
who are drinking way too many sodas daily, I dread to think of the the
consequences for them 25 years down the road. Osteoporosis and diabetes
(with all the co-morbidities) won't be a fun to live with.
