That's also stupid, but not surprising. My town's police force has a
complete moron working for it, but they keep him around anyway.

Reminds me of a fake community service ad that ran for about a week at a
radio station in Long Island: "Are you big, strong & stupid? The Nassau
County Police Department would like to invite you to an upcoming career
fair...."
