Depends. Some places claim that cell phones interfere with medical
equipment. More honest places claim that inconsiderate users talk on
their cell phones while the tech/nurse/doctor are trying to talk to
them. I see no reason why a short and to the point cell phone call
should be prohibited in a waiting room.
