Is there a recommended daily allowance for
cholesterol? There might be a recommended
upper limit, but I don't think any amount
would be considered healthful. Your body

Cattle brain and spinal cord are the main
commercial sources of cholesterol. Among
other uses (for example, in cosmetics) bovine
cholesterol is the raw material from which
vitamin D is made (by UV irradiation of
cholesterol).
I wish I could obtain multivitamin pills that
lacked vitamin D, to avoid any risk from
Mad Cow DIsease.
