Mark, since you are the antique gadget expert...

Dad's been cleaning out the storage shed and turning up all kinds of
junk. The cast iron trivets are very nice and I can use them, but one
item is a very small copper tea kettle looking thing, but the base is
maybe 8" or so across and there are 6 holes in the lid.

Any ideas?

Seems kinda small for a teakettle.
