Default Shelf life of cooked ground beef

of bringing it home.

I made a cheese dip that contains a pound of ground beef. Does cooking
ground beef extend its life or should it be thrown out if it is not
eaten within 3 days?

Yes, cooking it does extend the life... hopefully you cooked it
properly. It's okay to keep the cooked product for about five days as
long as it's refrigerated properly.
