I am seeking a recipe for a shrimp dish served in many Chinese restaurants
under various names: "sweet and spicy shrimp", "shrimp szechuan style", "Sweet and pungent shrimp". The shrimps are stir-fried, usually with individual peas (out of the pods) and with diced onion pieces. The sauce is red, and seems to be ketchup-based. The taste is both sweet-tomatoey and spicy sort of like siracha spicy, but just a little, and has plenty of garlic. The dish usually comes with white steamed rice. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
