Ina "say it ain't so!" story in the WashPost story today, it was
reported that China is pressing for far greater production and consumption of potatoes. Apparently, potatoes can grow better in poorer soil than rice, and can fit in between rice-growing cycles too. See http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...053003751.html Maybe Sichuan Fries really are in our futures! Ian |

the one thing i have learned is portion control, i can control all of it, I
am now working on frequency, and while my system requires strch on a pretty regular basis, i have learned that brown rice and whole wheat pasta are not only good for me they taste good as well, if i stick with the "healthier starches, and less processed ones i have very little trouble now, Lee "Nick Cramer" > wrote in message ... > "Stormmee" > wrote: >> just what i need potatoes asian style, my bg will bedoomed for sure, Lee >> [ . . . ] > > Portion control is the secret, Lee. My diabetic friend says it doesn't spike his blood sugar at all. Cheers, Ian |

There are three long-term solutions, two of which have already been demonstrated many times: Crusades and plague. And it's already been widely publicized that they make soy sauce out of people, which make an excellent source of protein. So why not expand on that idea? Soylent Green is the third solution. With either of those solutions, the more people you have the better the results. -sw |

I think a plague will occur sooner or later, because our antibiotices, due to abuse, are losing their effectiveness, while we train bacteria to evade our defenses. But, yeah, people should be a good source of protein, and they probably taste like chicken anyway.... Ian |

I don't care how mean she was, put > her name on wine, not beer ;-) A Slavic witch, Baba Yaga (or Jaga) flew around in a mortar, using a pestle to steer. She kidnapped and ate children. Here she is, in all her gory, in a painting by the famous and prolific Russian artist, Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov: http://img6.tinypic.info/files/xl5maxwymz2q1j6uy6nk.jpg -- Nick, KI6VAV. I'm afraid the vegetarians might cook up a bit dry. Probably best to brine them first.... OTOH, a habitual Popeye consumer might not turn out so well either. Maybe I should stick to real chicken!
