I eat at a japanese steak and sushi restaurant in Kentucky called
Shogun and they serve a dressing with their salads that I believe is
some sort of ginger dressing. I have found recipes on the net that
claim to replicate this dressing but I was wondering if there is a
company that produces a dressing similar to this. I am the sort of
person that would rather buy then make.

Any help is appreciated.

I have yet to find a store bought version to match the ones
I've had in restaurants.. best to try to make it yourself and
see if you can match it.

The only Ginger Dressing I know is from "Japanese Cooking, A Simple Art."

Shogu-zu

1 Tbs finely grated ginger (shoga) mixed with 1/2 cup room temperature
Sanbaizu.

Sanbaizu

1-1/2 Tbs mirin
1/2 cup rice vinegar
2 Tbs soy sauce (light or dark)
2/3 cup dashi

Mix mirin with vinegar and add shoyu. Add dashi to taste. Bring to a boil,
remove from heat and cool to room temp. Keeps indefinitely refrigerated.

Sounds good, but not the same as the one I've had before. It was very
orange in color, had a tahini flavor as well as ginger. Its pulpy, not
all of which is ginger.. maybe onion and carrot.
