Default Wasabi and Horse Radish Dangerous in Excess?

One of these days, I'll post a "real" message about my favorite Thai dish or
something... But in the meantime, does anyone know if Wasabi or that horse
radish "hot nasal flash" that you get is dangerous in any way? If someone
took a teaspoon of Wasabi straight, could it potentially harm them?

Not an otherwise healthy person no. You have more chance of being
"harmed" by eating beef befowled in some way during breeding, packaging
or preparation.

Incidentally, if you do get that "hot nasal flash" by having too much
wasabi, immediately breathe through your mouth. The nasal flash should
be gone in a few seconds.

Right, its all about breath control. If you breathe in through your mouth
while eating wasabi, you won't get the flash burn.
