Default Japanses crackers

A Japanese colleague handed round a kind of rice? cracker on her last
day. It was very nice, but I did not get round to asking her what it is
called in English.
They are individually wrapped in 5x2.5" packets. The plastic packet is
smooth inside and transparent, but on the outside has a white
rough/fibrous texture. The Black and red text, and golden plant image
are printed on the inside shiny surface.
The cracker was a 4x2" lozenge shape. Smooth salty surface and crunchy
light interior.
If you have any idea what it might be called in English please let me
know. Regards David

There are so many brands and varieties out there it's hard to say
exactly what you ate, but the Japanese term is "senbei." A google
search on "Senbei" or "senbei rice cracker" should provide more
information.

I have had those and they are good! My girlfriend eats them non-stop.
Well better than her eating cake!

Another fan. Do you know the name of them in English?
I would be grateful for a name, or supplier, so that I can track down a
UK importer or even mail order source.
Cheers

Cheers, I expect the crackers were purchases in Japan. No sign of them
at any of these sites.
kgrocer.com was new to me, they sell some great products, thanks for the
ideas.

Why don't you scan the packaging and the wrapping and put it on your website
or post to alt.binaries.food. Then I will try to see if I can recognize any
of the logo or the brand name.
