Default Desired Dumpling Recipe

Hi,
I am a big fan of Simply Ming shows and yesterday he was sampling some
great Dim Sum in Hong Kong. One was a dumpling that had soup trapped
inside it. I assume this was an iced soup that was encased in a
dumpling. Ill try that. if anyone knows more details i would be
greatful. The whole show is a must see again. I would be willing to
purchase a copy of it.

I think the dumplings you are referring to have had a gelled substance
(broth, etc.) put into the dumpling (as opposed to iced) and when the
dumpling is heated, the gelled broth turns into soup. I have a recipe
somewhere in the house, but unfortunately it's not already on my computer.
You could try to Google "Chinese soup dumpling" and I think you would find a
few recipes for it, and of course perhaps someone here will post a recipe
for it after seeing your question.

I don't know anything about how they are made, but if memory serves, I
remember having these in San Francisco.
