Rosewater in a mince pie?

I'm not interested in baking but in writing a story in which a
character bakes. The character will sprinkle rosewater into a mince
pie to flavor it -- but at what stage would she do this? Sorry, but
I'm quite a cooking ignoramous.

Rosewater in a mince pie?

I'm trying to get my head around this one. Not sure if you mean minced meat
or the fruit mince pie (the ones you at Xmas). Either way I wouldn't put in
rose water at any stage. I have seen recipes for rose water in milk
puddings, Indian desserts etc.
