Candy molds -- custom?

Does anyone know where or how I can make my own candy molds? The small
plastic molds for lollipops, etc would work great, but I need a custom
shape.

Anyone ever done this?

Thank you!

Stacey

If you have a shape to work from, you could make a plaster mold, then
coat it with some sort of food safe material.

Or you could get a lollipop mold and use your shape and a heat gun to
remake the mold into your shape.

Considering how many molds are availlable, I wonder if what you want is
out there, somewhere. What are you trying to make?

It depends what you're trying to make.

My chocolate instructor often uses crisco for his molds.

If you have a vacuum press or know someone who does, it's very easy. Just
make a mold of the shape you want to attain some food grade plastic to make
them with.
